SUMMARY:Rehoboth Beach 4th of July Fireworks GUIDE
DESCRIPTION:The City of Rehoboth Beach is set to put the “ooh” and “ahh” into the July 4 Independence Day holiday weekend with a fireworks display to launch around 9:30 pm Sunday\, July 3. The display\, which will launch from the beach near Brooklyn Avenue\, will be visible all along Rehoboth’s mile-plus beach and boardwalk. \nThe fireworks display will be sandwiched by a Funsters concert at the bandstand. A 10-piece band made up of lifelong friends\, The Funsters will take the stage at 8 pm and again after the fireworks display. The band boasts a vast song list that covers the likes of Frank Sinatra to the Rolling Stones and the Beatles to Al Green. \n\n\n\n\nSeveral road closures will be implemented to facilitate entry into and exit from Rehoboth Beach that evening: \n \n\nThe bandstand area will be closed to vehicular traffic from 6 pm-midnight.\nBeginning at 6 pm\, only bus traffic and residents will be permitted on Henlopen and Surf avenues.\nVehicles will not be able to cross Rehoboth Avenue at the circle beginning at 7 pm.\nRehoboth Avenue eastbound and Church Street from State Route 1 will be closed to vehicular traffic beginning at 8:30 pm. At that point\, all vehicles entering Rehoboth Beach will have to do so via State Road to Bayard Avenue.\nResidents on Henlopen Avenue\, in Henlopen Acres\, and North Shores must access their residences via Second Street beginning at 8:30 pm.\nTo exit Rehoboth after the fireworks\, vehicles north of Rehoboth Avenue will be directed to exit via Rehoboth and Columbia avenues. Vehicles on the south side of Rehoboth Avenue\, will use Bayard Avenue to State Route 1 southbound only or Hickman or Munson streets to State Road to Route 1 north- and southbound.\n\nDART and the Jolly Trolley will provide service into Rehoboth Beach on revised schedules the evening of July 3. \n  \nall info and pics from  Rehoboth Beach – Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center <rehoboth@beach-fun.com>

DESCRIPTION:Daily Beach Bus Service until September 11th\n\n  \nBus Service from the Lewes Park and Ride: see attached schedule \nDownload the PDF: DART SCHEDULE \n  \n\n\n\n\n\nThe City is excited to announce…Lewes Line…a pilot seasonal transit program to transport residents and visitors to designated key locations throughout the City. The goal of this service is to alleviate parking and traffic congestion on city streets\, help with the parking challenges throughout the city and provide increased circulation to services and businesses. \n\nThe Lewes Line transit service begins Monday\, May 23rd\, and will operate seven days a week through September 30th. Each bus can accommodate 12 walk-on passengers and 2 handicapped passengers.\n\nHours: 9am – 9pm\nCost: $1 cash (credit cards are not accepted and change is not available) \nTiming: Each stop will be served once every half hour\nFrequent Rider:  Cards are available and can be purchased from the bus driver. The fee for each card is $10 for 12 rides. Cards can be used the entire season.  No refunds will be given for unused rides and these cards have no cash value.\n\n\nBus will pick up passengers at these designated locations:\n  – Cape May Lewes Ferry Terminal\n  – Johnnie Walker Beach\n  – Savannah Beach\n\n– Second & Market Streets  – Otis Smith Lot\n  – George H.P. Smith Park\n  – Lloyd’s Market\n  – Lewes Library & Lewes Trailhead\n  – Cape Henlopen High School (available weekends only in May & September; available 7 days a week in July and August)\n\nIf you have questions or concerns…Call Lewes City Hall at 302-645-7777 or send an email to lewesline@ci.lewes.de.us. Passengers must dress appropriately by wearing shirts and shoes.\n5. Passengers may bring items on the bus – Please remember to only bring items you can carry on and keep out of the walking aisle.\n6. Buses have wheelchair accessibility – Each bus can accommodate up to two wheelchairs.\n7. Service animals are permitted on the bus – Please leave pets home.\n8.
