SUMMARY:Sussex County Genealogical Society | Researching at Nabb Center
DESCRIPTION:“Join the Sussex County Genealogical Society (SCGS) in-person in the library or online for a presentation on the Nabb Research Center by Aaron Horner. The Edward H. Nabb Research Center for Delmarva History and Culture at Salisbury University is a humanities research laboratory for university students that also fulfills the historical resource needs of a variety of community researchers. Founded in 1982\, it was endowed in 1998 by Edward H. Nabb\, an attorney and philanthropist from Cambridge\, Maryland and renamed in his honor. \nFamily and local researchers frequent the Nabb Research Center for its wealth of information on family and cultural history. Distinctive photograph and artifact collections bring the Eastern Shore of the past 150 years to life\, offering insight into its traditions and heritage. Public presentations on historical topics\, educational seminars and exhibits showcase the Shore’s rich history and culture. One of its best resources is the specialized expertise of the Nabb Research Center staff.\n\nNOTE: this session is available to attend in-person or through Zoom. Current SCGS members automatically receive an email with a link to join the meetings via Zoom. Non-members are welcome to attend and may request an invitation link by sending an email to programs@scgsdelaware.org no later than December 14.\n\nSCGS is a non-profit organization and its mission is to promote genealogy and educational work in a professional manner\, encourage and instruct its members in genealogical research through careful documentation and maintain quality genealogical standards. While Paul is convalescing\, Annie reads his latest book and becomes enraged when she discovers the author has killed off her favorite character\, Misery Chastain. Annie forces Paul to write a new Misery novel\, and he quickly realizes Annie has no intention of letting him go anywhere.
