Take a look at the options that suit you.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPer the RBWG website\, here are some details to explain more and give dates/times.\n“FreeWrite is the name given to an informal gathering of writers of ALL skill levels who meet to practice their writing in a friendly and nurturing atmosphere. The goal of the FreeWrites is to provide a place and an opportunity for people to have fun with their writing\, to explore different genres\, and to do this in the company of other writing enthusiasts. Each FreeWrite is facilitated by a Rehoboth Beach Writers Guild member who has experience in teaching\, writing and/or leading such groups. Participants write prose\, songs\, poetry and fiction\, work on novels during free writes\, and start short stories. Writing prompts are often (but not always) designed to focus on a particular aspect of writing: the use of sensory details\, the necessity of strong verbs\, the craft of writing dialogue.”\n\n\nI take myself by surprise. Writing at a FreeWrite! is like throwing a surprise party for yourself.  You never know what is going to spill out on your computer screen.  Is an evil twin lurking in the machinery? Or is it my fingers that somehow acquire access to long forgotten memories\, buried dreams and nightmares? No matter how many times I ask myself\, Where did that come from\,  No matter how many times I think I should have run out of surprises by now–something unexpected jumps out from where it’s been lurking behind a load of unpacked boxes in the basement of my mind.  I didn’t know I knew that\, I think.”\n—Sarah Barnett \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMORE LOCAL OPPORTUNITIES TO WRITE\nTraditional FreeWrites \n(visit the website for updates: FreeWrites)–and please note holiday dates when classes will not be held\nMondays \n8-10 a.m.\nRehoboth Beach Library (please use the back door).Carl Frey\, Joanne Sinsheimer\, and Tom Hoyer will alternate leading. SUMMARY:The Gin Game by Second Street Players
DESCRIPTION:ABOUT THE SHOW…\n\n \nThe Gin Game\, a 1978 Pulitzer Prize winning powerhouse written by D.L. Coburn\, is a tragicomedy in two acts. Serving up equal portions of “laugh out loud” hilarity and gut-wrenching angst\, the show centers around a man and a woman who meet on the porch of a run down nursing home that’s seen better days.\n\n \nFeeling as though they don’t belong\, Weller and Fonsia form a bond over their mutual distaste for their current circumstances and their enjoyment of playing gin together. They find in one another intellectual companionship and perhaps a hint of something more.\n\n \nBut something goes awry. Weller becomes increasingly frustrated as Fonsia proceeds to win game after game. It soon becomes evident that this is not simply about a game of cards\, but a battle of wills. As their card playing becomes more volatile\, Weller and Fonsia spar relentlessly towards a stunning finale.\n\n\n\nPatrons should be advised that there is some strong language in this show.\nALL COPY and tix from the website: http://www.secondstreetplayers.com/aboutTheGinGame.html\n  \n
