Then in January\, some classes will be facilitated at the library via zoom as the facilitator\, Paul McFarlane will be traveling. Reach Paul as needed through email: falconfan62@verizon.net. Take a look at the options that suit you.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPer the RBWG website\, here are some details to explain more and give dates/times.\n“FreeWrite is the name given to an informal gathering of writers of ALL skill levels who meet to practice their writing in a friendly and nurturing atmosphere. The goal of the FreeWrites is to provide a place and an opportunity for people to have fun with their writing\, to explore different genres\, and to do this in the company of other writing enthusiasts. Each FreeWrite is facilitated by a Rehoboth Beach Writers Guild member who has experience in teaching\, writing and/or leading such groups. Participants write prose\, songs\, poetry and fiction\, work on novels during free writes\, and start short stories. Writing prompts are often (but not always) designed to focus on a particular aspect of writing: the use of sensory details\, the necessity of strong verbs\, the craft of writing dialogue.”\n\n\nI take myself by surprise. Writing at a FreeWrite! is like throwing a surprise party for yourself.  You never know what is going to spill out on your computer screen.  Is an evil twin lurking in the machinery? Or is it my fingers that somehow acquire access to long forgotten memories\, buried dreams and nightmares? No matter how many times I ask myself\, Where did that come from\,  No matter how many times I think I should have run out of surprises by now–something unexpected jumps out from where it’s been lurking behind a load of unpacked boxes in the basement of my mind.  I didn’t know I knew that\, I think.”\n—Sarah Barnett \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMORE LOCAL OPPORTUNITIES TO WRITE\nTraditional FreeWrites \n(visit the website for updates: FreeWrites)–and please note holiday dates when classes will not be held\nMondays \n8-10 a.m.\nRehoboth Beach Library (please use the back door).Carl Frey\, Joanne Sinsheimer\, and Tom Hoyer will alternate leading. SUMMARY:IF YOU LIVED HERE\, YOU WOULD BE HOME NOW: A FILM ABOUT JACK LEWIS AND BRIDGEVILLE\, DE
DESCRIPTION:The Rehoboth Beach Film Society in partnership with the Rehoboth Art League will present a very special screening of If You Lived Here\, You Would Be Home Now: A Film About Jack Lewis and Bridgeville\, DE. This charming documentary by Director David Peterson about one of Delaware’s most famous artists\, Jack Lewis. His contributions impacted the local community and Jack’s other titles included writer and teacher. His paintings of area scenes are collected and adorn the walls of private homes\, businesses\, and public buildings throughout the state. \nA humorous\, moving ramble through a unique Delaware town captures how painter Jack Lewis changed the lives of those least exposed to the arts. After meeting a variety of townspeople\, including inmates at the local prison\, it becomes clear to Lewis that his influence affects every aspect of life in this little town. [1999\, US\, 86 min] \n“We are excited to partner with the Rehoboth Beach Film Society to continue raising awareness about the artistic contributions of Jack Lewis to the region. Sharing a film about his life and work in Bridgeville\, the Rehoboth Art League\, and beyond will be the perfect way to help close out our Everyday Life\, Everyday People exhibition of his work\, which runs through March 5\,” says Rehoboth Art League Executive Director Sara Ganther. \nThe film premiered at the National Gallery of Art in Washington\, DC and is now in the permanent collection of the museum. An Independent Spirit Award Nominee\, the documentary was a CINE Golden Eagle Award winner and had its National debut on PBS broadcast in 2003. \nnLocation: Cinema Art Theater (CAT) in Lewes \nAdmission \n\n$9.00 General\n\nClick on the desired screening times for tickets \n\n\n\nFri\nMar 03\n2:00 PM\n   Cinema Art Theater (CAT) in Lewes
