Filmmakers from Delaware\, Maryland\, New Jersey\, New York\, Pennsylvania\, Virginia and Washington D.C. were invited to submit their work for consideration in the Showcase. Eligible films include shorts\, documentaries\, features and animation of any length. \nTo kick-off the Film Showcase\, RBFS is thrilled to feature a welcome reception and special screening of local filmmaker and Lewes resident\, Geoff Lerer’s feature SPENCER on Friday\, May 5 at 7:00 PM. Geoff has kindly offered to direct the ticket sales proceeds to the Rehoboth Beach Film Society’s 25 for 25 Spring fundraising campaign — to raise $25\,000 for the Main Theater’s new D-Cinema projector. \nThe film submission deadline has passed and the panel of judges is currently reviewing 24 submissions. \nThe final selection of films will be determined by local filmmaker and new Lewes resident\, LeAnn Erickson. Among her many accomplishments and filmmaker awards\, she is a film professor at Philadelphia’s Temple University. \nThe Regional Film Showcase winners will be announced at the conclusion of the final encore screening on Sunday\, May 7 at 2 pm. A Jury Prize of $1\,000 and Honorable Mention prize of $275 will be awarded. This program is funded in part by the Morris and Rosyln Fierberg Fund. \n“This festival provides local filmmakers with the opportunity to connect with an audience.”  Said Helen Chamberlin\, Executive Director. \nThe Regional Film Showcase official artwork was designed by Cinema Art Theater Associate Alix Robinson-Guy. Alix is a Millsboro resident and an English Major at McDaniel College. \nTickets are $5.00 per film and will go on-sale soon at rehobothfilm.com or at the Cinema Art Theater box office in Lewes beginning 30 minutes prior to the screening. \nThe mission of the Rehoboth Beach Regional Film Showcase is to promote the art of filmmaking by showcasing the films of emerging regional filmmakers in a professional theater\, to introduce audiences to the creative talents of regional filmmakers while providing opportunities for filmmakers and audiences to engage in post-screening discussions. \nFULL INFORMATION ON THE WEBSITE: https://www.rehobothfilm.com/

SUMMARY:27th Annual Lewes British Car Show
DESCRIPTION:27th Annual Lewes British Motorcar Show 2023 \nWelcome to the 27th Annual Lewes British Motorcar Show. This year’s show is again overlooking the Delaware Bay and Lewes Cape May Ferry. \nAbout this Event \nThe British Are Coming…Once Again! \nTwenty-seven years is an amazing milestone for the Lewes British Motorcar Show\, sponsored by the Lewes Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with the British Car Club of Delaware. The show will take place on the grounds of the Lewes Ferry Terminal for the Cape May-Lewes Ferry\, overlooking the Delaware Bay. \nIn addition to welcoming Future British Classics\, British cars 2001 and newer\, we will also be celebrating the 100th Anniversary of MG. Let’s face it\, The MG marque is so iconic\, we all either had an MG ourselves\, or had a family member\, friend\, neighbor\, or school mate who did. The show will be a great opportunity to share MG and other British stories with other car owners and spectators. \nWhile there will be much to see at the show\, visitors are encouraged to take advantage of historic downtown Lewes\, home to a wonderful number of shops and restaurants\, as well as all that the Delaware beach area has to offer. \nRegistration this year is electronic only through Eventbrite. \n \nOn show day Food and beverages will be available for purchase on site\, courtesy of Grain On the Rocks\, the new chic dining spot within the Ferry Terminal. Grain has graciously agreed to offer specials for show car registrants. \nThe Friday evening Meet & Greet / Cruise in was an overwhelming success and back once again! The Meet & Greet at Grain on the Rocks is open to ALL BRITISH CARS and their owners of course. So\, cruise on down with your British car of any year\, whether local or from out of town. Of course\, food and drinks can be purchased at the bar. Attendance is limited. Registration will be free\, but we do need to keep close tabs on the registrations given limited space in the picnic area \, so please be gracious and not to reserve a ticket if you are not going to use. In the event you must cancel. please make sure to let us know. Invitations will be sent shortly. \nClass trophies\, awarded by our esteemed show judges\, will be presented at the conclusion of the show. \nShow details: \n\nField opens at 8:30 am\, with entry no later than 10:30 for the show field. Since this is a high pedestrian traffic area\, please be aware that for everyone’s safety\, vehicles may not leave the field during the official show hours\, from 11:00a-3:00p.\n\n\nCar registration is $35.00 in advance. Onsite registration is NOT guaranteed. Last year’s show was sold out well in advance. Onsite registration (if available) will be $40. There is a small convenience fee added by Eventbrite for online registration.
