SUMMARY:Clear Space Theatre Company presents Rock of Ages
DESCRIPTION:Rock of Ages takes you back to the time of big bands with big egos playing big guitar solos and sporting even bigger hair! It’s the tail end of the big\, bad 1980s in Hollywood\, and the party has been raging hard. Aqua Net\, Lycra\, lace and liquor flow freely at one of the Sunset Strip’s last legendary venues\, a place where sex machine Stacee Jaxx takes the stage and scantily clad groupies line up to turn their fantasies into reality. Amidst the madness\, aspiring rock star (and resident toilet cleaner) Drew longs to take the stage as the next big thing – and for Sherri\, fresh off the bus from Kansas with stars in her eyes. But the rock ’n’ roll fairy tale is about to end when German developers sweep into town with plans to turn the fabled Strip into just another strip mall. Can Drew\, Sherri\, and the gang save the Strip – and themselves – before it’s too late? Only the music of hit bands Styx\, Journey\, Bon Jovi\, Whitesnake and more hold the answer. \nAll pics and info from the website

SUMMARY:Clear Space Theatre Company presents The Prom
DESCRIPTION:Four eccentric Broadway stars are in desperate need of a new stage. So when they hear that trouble is brewing around a small-town prom\, they know that it’s time to put a spotlight on the issue…and themselves. The town’s parents want to keep the high school dance on the straight and narrow—but when one student just wants to bring her girlfriend to prom\, the entire town has a date with destiny. On a mission to transform lives\, Broadway’s brassiest join forces with a courageous girl and the town’s citizens. The result: a little bit of fun and a whole lot of love brings them together. Winner of the Drama Desk Award for Best Musical\, The Prom expertly captures all the humor and heart of a classic musical comedy with a message that resonates with audiences now more than ever. \nAll pics and in from the website
