Artists are asked to bring their own supplies and to work independently.” \nOPEN PRINT STUDIO\n“The Open Print Studio is the art league’s digital venue for fine art photographers\, as well as artists interested in making reproductions of their work. Monitored by trained members of the Coastal Camera Club\, the art league’s Print Studio allows photographers access to color correct\, edit\, and print images on a variety of fine photographic papers. Adjust your images on your home computer\, or have a studio monitor assist you in the lab prior to printing here. Members’ accessing the Print Studio are responsible for a nominal studio fee ($2 per hour) as well as the cost of any paper and materials purchased. SUMMARY:"CEZANNE: PORTRAITS OF LIFE" Journeys in Art History\, at Cinema Art Theater
DESCRIPTION:The Rehoboth Beach Film Society is pleased to present the 2023 Journey in Art History Exhibition on Screen™ (EOS) film series. EOS is the originator and pioneer of bringing exhibition-based art films to the cinema. Working with top international museums and galleries\, EOS creates films which offer a cinematic immersion into the world’s best loved art\, accompanied by insights from the world’s leading historians and arts critics. The three-part series will begin in January with brand new films each month through March. The focus of the Journey in Art series is to introduce the works of history’s greatest painters and to provide opportunities to view blockbuster art exhibitions from galleries worldwide. \nCEZANNE: PORTRAITS OF LIFE\nView Screenings \n  \nExhibition on Screen is thrilled to reprise one of its most successful films\, dedicated to the life and work of Paul Cézanne. Cezanne: Portraits of Life is a revealing portrait about a man dubbed ‘the father of us all’ by Matisse and Picasso. Narrated by multi award-winning actor Brian Cox\, one cannot appreciate 20th century art without understanding the significance and genius of Paul Cézanne. The film was recorded at the National Portrait Gallery in London\, with additional interviews from experts and curators from Museum of Modern Art in New York\, National Gallery of Art in Washington\, DC and Musée d’Orsay in Paris. With correspondence from the artist himself\, the film takes audiences to the places Cézanne lived and worked and sheds light on an artist who is perhaps one of the least known and yet most important of all the Impressionists. Cezanne: Portraits of Life was released to coincide with a major Cézanne exhibition at Tate Modern\, the crown jewel of modern art galleries in London (Oct 22\, 2021 – Mar 23\, 2022). [2022\, UK\, 85 min\, Not Rated] \n The Guardian writes\, “A film that thoroughly requires careful listening and looking.” \n  \nLocation: Cinema Art Theater \nAdmission \n\n$9.00 RBFS Members\n$11.50 General\n\nClick on the desired screening times for tickets \n\n\n\n\nMon\nFeb 13\n2:00 PM\n   Cinema Art Theater\n\n\n\nTue\nFeb 21\n6:00 PM\n   Cinema Art Theater\n\n\n\n\n

Mason celebrates over ten years of impersonating Dame Edna and has performed throughout the Mid-Atlantic\, Broadway\, Florida\, Las Vegas\, DC\, and Sedona\, AZ.\nIn February 2010 he auditioned for the real Dame Edna\, Barry Humphries\, for the title of “Honorary Understudy to Dame Edna” on Broadway\, NY\, while Humphries and singer Michael Feinstein were prepping their new show “All About Me.” Mason won the title over a dozen other contenders and appeared in the show’s Playbill. Greenwich Village Voice theater critic\, Michael Musto praised his performance and invited him as a special guest at his birthday party that year.\nIn 2010 and 2012 he won “Best Comedian” at the Las Vegas Reel Awards which is akin to the Oscars for the Tribute Artist Industry. \nHe has participated in the Sunburst Conference of Professional Celebrity Impersonators since 2008 where he won “Funniest Male”\, “Best Transformation”\, and “Best Male Costume” three times each and has been inducted into their Hall of Fame for each in 2011\, 2013\, and 2014 respectively. He was one of three finalists for the “Agent’s Best” (meaning the best act out of dozens that agents reviewed) award in 2010 and 2012. In 2011 he was awarded the Silver Best Showcase Award 3rd place and in 2012 he won Gold (2nd).\nHis Dame has been seen on the Rachel Ray show as well as Fox News 35 in Orlando and the national CBS Sunday Morning news. He is also featured prominently in the award-winning 2010 documentary short subject “Just About Famous” and its full-length follow-up in 2013. Information on the film and Mason can be seen on IMDB.com. \nMason has been active in theater since 1985\, and was a member of the National Dramatists Guild\, having written over 25 plays produced in Delaware and Off-Off Broadway. As an actor\, he has acted over 100 roles\, and appeared for 30 years with the Delaware Dance Company’s “The Nutcracker”. He has also directed over 100 plays for community and regional theater. \n\nAll copy and pics from the site: https://www.etix.com/ticket/p/7403303/one-dame-funny-valentine-milton-milton-theatre

Take a look at the options that suit you.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPer the RBWG website\, here are some details to explain more and give dates/times.\n“FreeWrite is the name given to an informal gathering of writers of ALL skill levels who meet to practice their writing in a friendly and nurturing atmosphere. The goal of the FreeWrites is to provide a place and an opportunity for people to have fun with their writing\, to explore different genres\, and to do this in the company of other writing enthusiasts. Each FreeWrite is facilitated by a Rehoboth Beach Writers Guild member who has experience in teaching\, writing and/or leading such groups. Participants write prose\, songs\, poetry and fiction\, work on novels during free writes\, and start short stories. Writing prompts are often (but not always) designed to focus on a particular aspect of writing: the use of sensory details\, the necessity of strong verbs\, the craft of writing dialogue.”\n\n\nI take myself by surprise. Writing at a FreeWrite! is like throwing a surprise party for yourself.  You never know what is going to spill out on your computer screen.  Is an evil twin lurking in the machinery? Or is it my fingers that somehow acquire access to long forgotten memories\, buried dreams and nightmares? No matter how many times I ask myself\, Where did that come from\,  No matter how many times I think I should have run out of surprises by now–something unexpected jumps out from where it’s been lurking behind a load of unpacked boxes in the basement of my mind.  I didn’t know I knew that\, I think.”\n—Sarah Barnett \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMORE LOCAL OPPORTUNITIES TO WRITE\nTraditional FreeWrites \n(visit the website for updates: FreeWrites)–and please note holiday dates when classes will not be held\nMondays \n8-10 a.m.\nRehoboth Beach Library (please use the back door).Carl Frey\, Joanne Sinsheimer\, and Tom Hoyer will alternate leading. SUMMARY:We've Got Magic To Do Musical Theatre Ensemble Winter Showcase
DESCRIPTION:Come support our homegrown talented kids for their Winter ’23 talent showcase! \nMusical Theatre Ensemble presents: “We’ve Got Magic To Do!” Join us for a magical MTE session filled with your favorite magic-themed songs from the radio and Broadway! Featuring songs from Pippin\, Aladdin\, Cinderella\, and more! \n\n \nAbout Musical Theatre Ensemble\nOur Musical Theatre Ensemble (MTE) classes will focus on each of the three main concentrations of musical theater; voice\, dance\, and acting. Great emphasis will be placed on recognizing the relevance of each discipline as it relates to musical theater and preparing students for auditions and musical theatre performances. Each class period will be devoted to- 1) vocal development\, 2) improving acting skills\, 3) learning choreography; all to help students develop musical theatre skills. The culmination of this course will result with students gaining a broader understanding of musical theater from their participation in a fun and exciting musical theatre performance experience that will increase their abilities and help them to become well rounded performers. \nAbout Triple Threat Training Program\nA key term in musical theatre training is learning to be a ‘triple threat performer’\, which means the ability to act\, sing and dance to a high standard. The Triple Threat classes at the Milton Theatre bring these three disciplines together into a unified whole. The emphasis in these classes is to strengthen each of the elements equally to create a well-rounded Triple Threat performer. Only 10 students are accepted into the program each session. \nTo join the Milton Theatre’s Triple Threat Training Program\, students must be 6-18 years of age and pass the audition and be invited to register. \n\nAll copy and pics from the site: https://www.etix.com/ticket/p/4156383/weve-got-magic-to-domusical-theatre-ensemble-winter-showcase-thursday-milton-milton-theatre
