SUMMARY:Emily Henry "Great Big Beautiful Life"
DESCRIPTION:Featured Author Talk (virtual)\nTicket includes 1 copy of GREAT BIG BEAUTIFUL LIFE by Emily Henry (New York Times bestselling author)\, access to a virtual event with Emily Henry on publication day and an exclusive designed print featuring a quote from the book while supplies last. Those who purchase a ticket by 3/31 are guaranteed an exclusive designed print with their ticket purchase. Quantities of the print become limited starting 4/1. \nPlease include shipping if you are NOT picking the book up in-store! \nAbout Great Big Beautiful Life\nTwo writers compete for the chance to tell the larger-than-life story of a woman with more than a couple of plot twists up her sleeve in this dazzling and sweeping novel from Emily Henry. \nAlice Scott is an eternal optimist still dreaming of her big writing break. Hayden Anderson is a Pulitzer-prize winning human thundercloud. And they’re both on balmy Little Crescent Island for the same reason: to write the biography of a woman no one has seen in years—or at least to meet with the octogenarian who claims to be the Margaret Ives. Tragic heiress\, former tabloid princess\, and daughter of one of the most storied (and scandalous) families of the twentieth century. READ MORE

SUMMARY:Help with Village Volunteers!!
DESCRIPTION:Share your time\, your skills\, your way.\n  \nIf our members are the Village’s heart\, our volunteers are the Village’s soul.\nThose volunteers give selflessly of their time\, their talents\, and their compassion in order to serve their neighbors and nurture a vibrant community of support for older adults in Sussex County\, Delaware. \n  \nOur volunteers are also incredibly loyal. Many are members themselves. Many have been with the Village since it began operations in 2013. And part of that loyalty is due to the fact that the Village encourages volunteers to choose the services they enjoy and their availability schedule. \nAnd volunteering has its own rewards! In a survey by the United Health Group: \n\n96% of volunteers say their efforts give them a richer sense of purpose in life.\n95% say volunteering makes their community a better place.\n94% say it improves their mood\, and 78% say it lowers their stress levels.\n\nOurs is a proactive\, data-based approach that balances supply and demand through sophisticated demographic mapping. Members can count on volunteers who are reliable neighbors. And volunteers can count on service requests that reflect their own schedules and interests. \nLearn about volunteer opportunities \nAll info and more at the website: https://villagevolunteer.org/content.aspx?page_id=22&club_id=492141&module_id=148131

SUMMARY:Clear Space Theatre presents Spring Awakening
DESCRIPTION:Friday\, 7pm | Saturday\, 7pm | Sunday\, pm |\nBUY TICKETS AND SEE TIMES\nABOUT SHOW \nIn every era\, there comes a moment when the next generation changes the narrative\, rips away the mistakes of the past\, and tries to build a new future on their own terms. When rock and roll icon and Grammy Award winning musician Duncan Sheik adapted Spring Awakening into a groundbreaking musical in 2006\, he created the Hair of a new generation – a powerful celebration of youth\, rebellion\, and teenage self-discovery. The story may be set in late 19th century Germany\, but with its searing ballads and its high energy score\, Spring Awakening’s exploration of desire among a group of young people who have been suppressed\, oppressed\, and dangerously repressed is as powerful and resonant now as ever. \n“Broadway may never be the same.” – New York Times\n“Thrillingly modern… a vital leap forward for the American musical” – Time Out New York \nPresenting Sponsors: Vicki & Jay Allen \nAll pics and info from the website Spring Awakening – Clear Space Theatre

SUMMARY:Clear Space Theatre presents Spring Awakening
DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, 7pm | Friday\, 7pm | Saturday\, 7pm | Sunday\, pm \nBUY TICKETS AND SEE TIMES\nABOUT SHOW \nIn every era\, there comes a moment when the next generation changes the narrative\, rips away the mistakes of the past\, and tries to build a new future on their own terms.

SUMMARY:Steel Magnolias
DESCRIPTION:Friday\, 7pm | Saturday\, 7pm | Sunday\, 2pm\nABOUT THE SHOW…\n\nRobert Harling’s Steel Magnolias\, made popular as a movie and stage play\, is both hilarious and touching as it reveals the strength of its characters.\n\n \nDelicate as magnolias but as tough as steel\, Clairee\, Ouiser\, Truvy\, Annelle\, M’Lynn\, and Shelby are gossipy southern ladies in a small-town Louisiana beauty parlor who laugh\, cry\, and teach a thing or two about life and how to live it.\n\n \nThe action of Steel Magnolias is set in Truvy’s beauty salon in Chinquapin\, Louisiana\, where all the ladies who are “anybody” come to have their hair done.\n\n \nHelped by her eager new assistant\, Annelle (who is not sure whether or not she is still married)\, the outspoken\, wise-cracking Truvy dispenses shampoos and free advice to the town’s rich curmudgeon\, Ouiser\, (“I’m not crazy\, I’ve just been in a bad mood for forty years”); an eccentric millionaire\, Miss Clairee\, who has a raging sweet tooth; and the local social leader\, M’Lynn\, whose daughter\, Shelby (the prettiest girl in town)\, is about to marry a “good ole boy.”\n\n \nFilled with hilarious repartee and not a few acerbic but humorously revealing verbal collisions\, the play also draws on the underlying strength—and love—which give the play\, and its characters\, the special quality to make them truly touching\, funny and marvelously amiable company in good times and bad.\n\n \n – – – – – \n\n\n\nSteel Magnolias is produced through special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service 440 Park Avenue South | New York\, NY 10016 | dpsinfo@broadwaylicensing.com\n\nBUY TICKETS | READ MORE
