SUMMARY:Clear Space Theatre presents Hairspray
DESCRIPTION:Wednesday and Thursday\, 7:30pm\n\n\n\nHairspray : Music by Marc Shaiman\, Lyrics by Marc Shaiman & Scott Wittman\, Book by Mark O’Donnell & Thomas Meehan\, Based on the John Waters film \nYou can’t stop this beat! There’s a reason Hairspray remains one of the most popular musicals of the last two decades – winning the Tony Award for Best Musical\, Best Score\, and Best Book during its original Broadway run. Tracy Turnblad may be a bigger girl than the usual teen heartthrobs who dance on the Corny Collins Show\, but when she gets her chance to shine\, she does more than light up the stage – she changes lives… her mother’s\, her community’s\, and even her own. Clear Space is thrilled to welcome Delaware’s legendary Diva\, Rehoboth’s own Mona Lotts (television appearances on The Real Housewives of Potomac and What Not To Wear) to the stage as Tracy’s mother Edna Turnblad. \nPresenting Sponsors: Rick Tedrick & Shawn Wright\nSupporting Sponsor: Cape Gazette \nAll pics & info from the website: Hairspray – Clear Space Theatre

SUMMARY:Clear Space Theatre presents Rent
DESCRIPTION:Wednesday and Thursday\, 7:30pm\nRent: Book Music\, & Lyrics by Jonathan Larsen \nIt was a moment when anything seemed possible in New York City: art\, love\, and fame. It was a time when young artists created the beating heart of the city\, ready to find the untapped potential for joy and passion behind every corner. It became the most iconic story of a generation – one that would change the face of musical theater forever. Discover the joy of Rent all over again in a fresh\, vibrant production as Roger\, Mimi\, Tom\, Angel\, Maureen\, Joanne\, Benny\, and Mark strive to hold true to their bohemian vision\, live their lives to the fullest\, and find their voices all in the East Village during the height of HIV/AIDS. Their dreams\, their loves\, and their losses remind us all that there is no day but today. \nPresenting Sponsor: Dave McCarthy and Associates\nSupporting Sponsor: Linda Wolf \nAll pics & info from the website: Rent – Clear Space Theatre

SUMMARY:Help with Village Volunteers!!
DESCRIPTION:Share your time\, your skills\, your way.\n  \nIf our members are the Village’s heart\, our volunteers are the Village’s soul.\nThose volunteers give selflessly of their time\, their talents\, and their compassion in order to serve their neighbors and nurture a vibrant community of support for older adults in Sussex County\, Delaware. \n  \nOur volunteers are also incredibly loyal. Many are members themselves. Many have been with the Village since it began operations in 2013. And part of that loyalty is due to the fact that the Village encourages volunteers to choose the services they enjoy and their availability schedule. \nAnd volunteering has its own rewards! In a survey by the United Health Group: \n\n96% of volunteers say their efforts give them a richer sense of purpose in life.\n95% say volunteering makes their community a better place.\n94% say it improves their mood\, and 78% say it lowers their stress levels.\n\nOurs is a proactive\, data-based approach that balances supply and demand through sophisticated demographic mapping. Members can count on volunteers who are reliable neighbors. And volunteers can count on service requests that reflect their own schedules and interests. \nLearn about volunteer opportunities \nAll info and more at the website: https://villagevolunteer.org/content.aspx?page_id=22&club_id=492141&module_id=148131

SUMMARY:Clear Space Theatre presents Hairspray
DESCRIPTION:Friday\, 7:30pm | Saturday\, 2pm | Saturday\, 7:30pm\n\n\n\nHairspray : Music by Marc Shaiman\, Lyrics by Marc Shaiman & Scott Wittman\, Book by Mark O’Donnell & Thomas Meehan\, Based on the John Waters film \nYou can’t stop this beat!
