Many are members themselves. Many have been with the Village since it began operations in 2013. And part of that loyalty is due to the fact that the Village encourages volunteers to choose the services they enjoy and their availability schedule. \nAnd volunteering has its own rewards! This will be a mixture of prepared training as well as a chance to ask questions and get drop in computer help from a certified Computer Instructor. This project was funded by a grant from AARP. Registration is required. SUMMARY:COMPUTER HELP at Sussex Co. Libraries
DESCRIPTION:From registering online for programs to figuring out our own PC\, our local libraries can help with SO many of the problems we face.\n\nGeorgetown Public Library: Thursdays\, 10:30am – 11:30am\, and 5pm-6pm\, COMPUTER BASICS: Come learn the basics of how to use a computer\, or come prepared with advance questions of your own. This will be a mixture of prepared training as well as a chance to ask questions and get drop in computer help from a certified Computer Instructor. This project was funded by a grant from AARP. Registration is required. Register by calling 302-856-7958 OR register online (click this link to go to the library calendar\, click on the class on Thursdays\, 5pm to see the page where you register)\nLaurel Public Library\, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5-7pm\, Jack’s Tech Talk: Technology assistance for patrons. Appointments are required.  Call 302-875-3184 or stop by the library to sign up.\nLewes Public Library\, free technology assistance the first and third Friday of each month from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on a drop-in basis. A staff member is available to assist with a variety of common technology questions. Topics include (but are not limited to): digital books\, email\, internet\, Microsoft Word and Excel\, texting\, and digital photos. Guests may bring their own devices such as e-readers\, tablets\, phones and computers—or utilize the library’s PC computers. No appointment is necessary\, and assistance is available on a first-come\, first-served basis. Participants are encouraged to bring relevant usernames\, passwords\, and login information. All ages are welcome. SUMMARY:Killens Pond Summer Concerts
DESCRIPTION:The park invites all patrons to bring the family and friends out to Killens Pond State Park for a free evening of music and dancing during the Summer! \nSummer concerts run every Friday night starting at 6:30 PM from mid June to mid August (weather permitting). Note: The concert for Friday\, July 4th is moved to Tuesday\, July 1st. \nThe Friends group supports this event by seeking sponsorships and selling refreshments during the concerts. There is also a 50/50 to support the children’s summer programs. \n\n\nThe concerts are free of charge. Park entrance fees are in effect. \nThe concert is hosted in front of the band shell at the Sports Complex. \nThe Sports Complex is located on your right when entering from Killens Pond Road. \n \n  \nFor a bigger list of Live Music events across Sussex Country Delaware\, subscribe to receive our Thursday newsletter. SUMMARY:Bethany Beach Bandstand
DESCRIPTION:Bandstand performances take place on Thursday and Saturday nights in the summer and Friday and Saturday nights in September and October. Summer Wednesdays will feature “Kids Nights” in July and the occasional rain date. \nSummer concerts typically begin at 7:30 p.m. Fall concerts will begin at 6:30 p.m. Shows offer something for everyone – from rock and pop to country\, jazz\, and anything in between. Bench seating is provided free of charge\, but it is limited. Since seating is first-come first-served\, we ask that you don’t save full benches in the hours leading up to show times.
