Crowds of over 300 people enjoyed the evening events on the beach in 2021; the Chamber hopes the 2022 season will see the same great success! Gratitude and thanks go to Weis Markets\, Movies & Bonfires Sponsor\, for their continued support of these weekly events; allowing the movies to keep rolling and the bonfires to keep burning.  Also\, a large thanks goes to the Town of Dewey B \neach who will once again offer FREE PARKING IN DEWEY BEACH\, Monday-Wednesday\, 5 – 11 PM. \nMovies start at approximately 8:30 PM on the beach at Dagsworthy Ave. in Dewey Beach. DESCRIPTION:Daily Beach Bus Service until September 11th\n\n  \nBus Service from the Lewes Park and Ride: see attached schedule \nDownload the PDF: DART SCHEDULE \n  \n\n\n\n\n\nThe City is excited to announce…Lewes Line…a pilot seasonal transit program to transport residents and visitors to designated key locations throughout the City. The goal of this service is to alleviate parking and traffic congestion on city streets\, help with the parking challenges throughout the city and provide increased circulation to services and businesses. \n\nThe Lewes Line transit service begins Monday\, May 23rd\, and will operate seven days a week through September 30th. Each bus can accommodate 12 walk-on passengers and 2 handicapped passengers.\n\nHours: 9am – 9pm\nCost: $1 cash (credit cards are not accepted and change is not available) \nTiming: Each stop will be served once every half hour\nFrequent Rider:  Cards are available and can be purchased from the bus driver. The fee for each card is $10 for 12 rides. Cards can be used the entire season.  No refunds will be given for unused rides and these cards have no cash value.\n\n\nBus will pick up passengers at these designated locations:\n  – Cape May Lewes Ferry Terminal\n  – Johnnie Walker Beach\n  – Savannah Beach\n\n– Second & Market Streets  – Otis Smith Lot\n  – George H.P. Smith Park\n  – Lloyd’s Market\n  – Lewes Library & Lewes Trailhead\n  – Cape Henlopen High School (available weekends only in May & September; available 7 days a week in July and August)\n\nIf you have questions or concerns…Call Lewes City Hall at 302-645-7777 or send an email to lewesline@ci.lewes.de.us. Passengers must dress appropriately by wearing shirts and shoes.\n5. Passengers may bring items on the bus – Please remember to only bring items you can carry on and keep out of the walking aisle.\n6. Buses have wheelchair accessibility – Each bus can accommodate up to two wheelchairs.\n7. Service animals are permitted on the bus – Please leave pets home.\n8. Buses will operate daily unless there is a significant event – Please stay tuned to this webpage for operational changes.\n9. Get the map of the state fair ahead of time so you can be familiar with the locations that you may want or need to access at the fair. HOURS: gates will open at 8am. Please note that Food Vendors\, most buildings and grounds entertainment will begin after 11am. Livestock buildings and some livestock shows will begin after 8am. \n2. Bring water or another refreshing drink and keep yourself and your child hydrated. It can be hot and dusty at the fair. You can bring in your own beverages\, just no glass containers. \n3. Take your time\, and enjoy your day at the fair!
