The broad-based committee\, chaired by event founder Lewes Mayor Ted Becker\, includes Lewes in Bloom co-chairs and founder\, a representative from City of Lewes Parks and Recreation Commission and the Zwaanendael Museum. This year Lewes in Bloom funded the purchase of 26\,931 tulip and 3\,950 spring bulbs that were planted in fall 2021 by members of Lewes in Bloom.\nThe timing of the tulips’ appearance is an inexact science and either milder or colder weather in advance of the event dates can increase the probability that the dates of the celebration may not exactly coincide with the tulips blooming! The event dates (April 1-17) span three weekends. \nThe locations of the plantings will be identified on the map produced in association with the celebration. More than 100 varieties will be on display. \nTiptoe To The Tulips Map: The event organizers created the Tiptoe To The Tulips Map that will be available in late March at the Lewes Chamber of Commerce’s Visitor Center located in the historic Fisher-Martin House in Zwaanendael Park. The visitor center is open Monday – Friday\, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.  Copies of the map will be available at brochure boxes throughout the historic commercial district. The map lists more than 20 locations where the bulbs were planted. It also has a schedule of activities associated with the Tulip Celebration. \nTulip Sale: On April 15 & 16 Lewes in Bloom will be selling tulips at the Bank Street Plaza on Second Street from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. \nHistory in Bloom Walking Tours: The Lewes Historical Society and Lewes in Bloom are partnering to offer walking tours on Saturday\, April 2nd and Saturday\, April 9th at 10:30 a.m.\, 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.  The tours will be led by a historic guide and will provide information on Lewes’ rich maritime history.  A knowledgeable guide from Lewes in Bloom will be on the tour to point out the multiple tulip varieties found around Lewes.  The tours begin at the Cannonball House’s back garden\, behind 118 Front Street. The tour cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Purchase tickets at www.historiclewes.org/visit/tours/html. \nFloral demonstrations and tulip sales: Ken Norman\, owner/designer at Floral Inspirations\, located on the beach side of the canal at 524 E. Savannah Road\, in the shops under the Beacon Motel\, will be hosting demonstrations on Friday and Saturday\, April 8th &  9th and 15th & 16th from 1 – 3 p.m.  Owner/designer Mayumi Williamson of Flowers by Mayumi\, located in the historic business district at 128 Second Street\, will be hosting a drop-in floral arranging demonstration on April 8 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.\nSpring Geranium Sale: Benefits the GFWC Zwaanendael Women’s Club’s Community Service Programs. They are taking orders until April 15 with pick up on Saturday\, April 30 at Lewes in Bloom’s Warehouse at 217 Schley Avenue\, Lewes. $7 per 6” pot – pink\, white\, red and salmon. SUMMARY:Grace Potter at The Freeman Arts Pavilion
DESCRIPTION:Plan ahead to not miss the next great concert! View all upcoming concerts and shows.\n\n\n\n \n\n\nPOD PRICING RANGES FROM $140 TO $270.00\nBUY PODS \nDescribed by Spin as “one of the greatest living voices in rock today\,” Grace Potter has not only played every major music festival from Coachella and Lollapalooza to Bonnaroo and Rock in Rio\, she’s created her own thriving music festival\, Burlington\, VT’s Grand Point North. Additionally\, she’s shared a stage with artists such as The Rolling Stones\, Willie Nelson\, Robert Plant\, the Allman Brothers\, Neil Young\, Jackson Browne\, Mavis Staples\, and The Roots to name just a few. A three-time Grammy-nominated artist (two for 2019’s “Daylight\,” one for her multiplatinum duet with Kenny Chesney)\, Potter has also collaborated with the Flaming Lips for a Tim Burton film\, and written and produced music for film and TV\, including Disney’s animated feature Tangled and the ABC animated holiday special “Prep & Landing: Naughty vs. Nice.” \nIn October 2019\, Grace released Daylight\, her second solo LP and first for Fantasy Records. “Daylight” arrives after a turbulent\, life-altering four-year hiatus from music that had the acclaimed singer-songwriter contemplating whether she would ever record another album. Cathartic and emotionally raw\, “Daylight” is the result of that arduous journey\, the most emotionally revealing\, musically daring work of her career. \n“I’ve always aimed to write songs from a universal perspective; so that anyone who heard my music could relate\, but that actually made it harder for me to take ownership of my own perspective. These songs were written so I could process — and be accountable for — my own life experience\,” Potter says. “I had just pulled the ripcord on my whole life. It was an incredibly jarring\, private experience. When the dust settled a bit\, the last thing I wanted to do was tell the whole world about it through song. It was a very gradual process of re-framing music and its purpose in my life. So\, when I finally started writing songs again — it had to be for myself and myself alone.” \nProduced by her husband Eric Valentine\, “Daylight” took shape in the Topanga Canyon home they’d recently settled into. Unsigned and entirely free of any pressure to appease\, Potter slowly carved out ideas and the two began laying down tracks. Moving to Valentine’s Hollywood studio\, Barefoot Recording\, the songs came to life with the help of longtime Potter collaborators including guitarist Benny Yurco and drummer Matt Musty\, friends Benmont Tench and Larry Goldings on keys and supreme vocalists\, Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig of the indie band Lucius. \nCONNECT WITH THE ARTIST\n\n Official Website\n Instagram\nTwitter\nYouTube\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nVENUE POLICIES\nFAQS\nCREATING AN ACCOUNT HELP \nSELECTING YOUR OWN SEAT HELP
