SUMMARY:Cinema Art Theater - "When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit"
DESCRIPTION:Click to view Trailer: “When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit\,” a compelling drama about a German family that flees their country. \nFrom Academy Award® winning director Caroline Link (“Nowhere in Africa”) comes an adaptation of acclaimed British author Judith Kerr’s classic novel of the same name based on her childhood memories. The story\, about a Jewish family’s escape from 1933 Berlin to Europe\, tackles prejudice\, exile\, displacement and adaptation. Anna is only nine years old when her life changes. To escape the Nazis\, her father Arthur Kemper\, a well-known Jewish journalist\, secretly flees to Zurich. Anna\, her twelve-year-old brother Max and her mother Dorothea\, followed him shortly thereafter. Anna has to leave everything behind\, including her beloved pink rabbit\, and face a new life full of challenges and privations abroad. She begins to understand life will never be the same as she and her family navigate unfamiliar lands and cope with the challenges of being refugees. [2020\, Germany\, 119 min\, Rated: NR\, In German with English subtitles]. \nSherin Nicole of “AWFJ Women on Film” pens\, “’Pink Rabbit’ is gently moving\, it does not hide from the Holocaust but it does remind us hope persists… [it is] as wistful as memory\, it’s in the warm muted color palette\, the andante pacing\, and the characters who are near and still just out of reach.” \n*2nd Shot Screening Thu\, May 27 @ 6 pm \nAre you fully COVID-19 vaccinated? Come celebrate with other like achievers. All safety protocols will still be required\, including wearing a mask. NO vaccination card necessary. \n  \nLocation: Cinema Art Theater \nAdmission \n\n$8.00 RBFS Members\n$11.00 General\n\nClick on the desired screening times for tickets \n\n\n\n\nWed\nMay 26\n4:00 PM\n   Cinema Art Theater\n\n\n\nThu\nMay 27\n6:00 PM\n   Cinema Art Theater\n   *Second Shot Screening

SUMMARY:Cinema Art Theatre--'The Dry'
DESCRIPTION:Click to view trailer: “The Dry\,” is a thrilling mystery drama based on the global bestseller of the same name by Jane Harper\, about a man returning to his Australian roots to investigate a brutal crime.   \nThe homecoming of a federal agent (played by Eric Banna) leads to a deeply personal murder investigation that reopens old wounds and threatens to unravel the tight-knit small town. [2020\, Australia\, 118 min\, Rated: R]. \nDavid Rooney of “Hollywood Reporter” writes “Its intriguing layers of ambiguity\, compelling performances and distinctive setting should spark interest\, particularly from audiences hungry for adult drama.” Grant Watson of “Fiction Machine” remarks\, “’The Dry’ is a powerfully effective quiet masterpiece; the best feature in Australian cinemas this year by far.” \n*2nd Shot Screening Wed May 26 @ 1 pm  \nAre you fully COVID-19 vaccinated? The broad-based committee\, chaired by event founder Lewes Mayor Ted Becker\, includes Lewes in Bloom co-chairs and founder\, a representative from City of Lewes Parks and Recreation Commission and the Zwaanendael Museum. This year Lewes in Bloom funded the purchase of 26\,931 tulip and 3\,950 spring bulbs that were planted in fall 2021 by members of Lewes in Bloom.\nThe timing of the tulips’ appearance is an inexact science and either milder or colder weather in advance of the event dates can increase the probability that the dates of the celebration may not exactly coincide with the tulips blooming! The event dates (April 1-17) span three weekends. \nThe locations of the plantings will be identified on the map produced in association with the celebration. More than 100 varieties will be on display. \nTiptoe To The Tulips Map: The event organizers created the Tiptoe To The Tulips Map that will be available in late March at the Lewes Chamber of Commerce’s Visitor Center located in the historic Fisher-Martin House in Zwaanendael Park. The visitor center is open Monday – Friday\, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.  Copies of the map will be available at brochure boxes throughout the historic commercial district. The map lists more than 20 locations where the bulbs were planted. It also has a schedule of activities associated with the Tulip Celebration. \nTulip Sale: On April 15 & 16 Lewes in Bloom will be selling tulips at the Bank Street Plaza on Second Street from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. \nHistory in Bloom Walking Tours: The Lewes Historical Society and Lewes in Bloom are partnering to offer walking tours on Saturday\, April 2nd and Saturday\, April 9th at 10:30 a.m.\, 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.  The tours will be led by a historic guide and will provide information on Lewes’ rich maritime history.  A knowledgeable guide from Lewes in Bloom will be on the tour to point out the multiple tulip varieties found around Lewes.  The tours begin at the Cannonball House’s back garden\, behind 118 Front Street. The tour cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Purchase tickets at www.historiclewes.org/visit/tours/html. \nFloral demonstrations and tulip sales: Ken Norman\, owner/designer at Floral Inspirations\, located on the beach side of the canal at 524 E.
