We handle all the international postage – you bring in and pick up your letters at the library. \n\nHow to sign up: \n\nFill out a registration form. Registration forms are available at the library and online. Click here to register online. Parental permission and signature is needed for anyone to participate under the age of 18. Please register all persons under 18 in person at the library.\nWait! After you are registered\, library staff will work to match you with your New Zealand pen pal! Please be patient.\nGet matched! You will be notified with the full name of your pen pal and some basic information. Please use their full name when addressing envelopes!\n\nHow the program works: \n\nWrite your letter and drop it off at your library. Be sure to address it clearly!\nWhen your letter arrives from New Zealand\, you’ll be notified! Just stop in to the library to pick it up!\nRespond to your pen pal and write another letter! DESCRIPTION:Human trafficking—the exploitation of individuals for labor or commercial sex—has been the subject of increased media attention in recent years. In 2014\, Human Trafficking first became a crime under Delaware Code. In 2022\, the Delaware Department of Justice created a Human Trafficking Unit to specifically address and handle Human Trafficking investigations. \nDeputy Attorney General Caroline Brittingham will present information about Human Trafficking in Delaware. Yolanda Montgomery\, Executive Director for Zoe Ministries\, a non-profit that provides a home to juvenile victims of sex trafficking\, will speak about the resources available to victims in our community. \nThis event is sponsored by the Village Improvement Association.

The goal of the FreeWrites is to provide a place and an opportunity for people to have fun with their writing\, to explore different genres\, and to do this in the company of other writing enthusiasts. Each FreeWrite is facilitated by a Rehoboth Beach Writers Guild member who has experience in teaching\, writing and/or leading such groups. DESCRIPTION:Experience an old-fashioned wagon ride at Lums Pond State Park. Wagon ride reservations are for groups only. Youth groups must have adequate adult supervision. One wagon is available and can fit 25 people max. The wagon ride is a 45-minute ride through the grounds of the park. When the ride is completed\, you are returned to an inviting 50-minute campfire. Group rentals may bring food and beverages. The park does not supply food or beverages for group rentals. Skewers and tablecloths are also not provided. Please bring a trash bag as Lums Pond State Park is a carry-in\, carry-out park. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted. DESCRIPTION:  \n \nJoin us on Saturdays this fall at Brittingham Farms with our fall series\, Distillation Saturdays.  From 9am-5pm on Saturdays starting September 2nd and running through November 18th we will be hosting guest vendors\, doing our fall lavender distillation for essential oil and hydrosol\, which you are able to tour our artisanal copper distillery and observe our distilling process.  Take your picture in front of The Great Wall of Grosso as you learn about the harvesting and distilling process.  Breakfast snacks and coffee options will be sold by Twain & Abel each Saturday morning from 9-11. We will be hosting Probert Farms horses for a 10 week riding camp that can be booked directly with Dana Probert.  Check our social media for each weeks’ guest vendors!  Thank you for supporting our family farm!
