We have a full sangria bar made with Nassau’s very own wines\, and some of the locals’ best vendors on site! It’s a fun time for all! Shop for local produce\, honey\, jams\, arts and crafts\, and more! Bring a chair\, or grab one of ours and just kick back to relax while listening to some solid tunes\, enjoying great food from one of our on-premise vendors\, and sipping on a nice glass of locally made wine or sangria.  Children and families welcome! Dogs are not permitted within the Market areas or the Winery buildings\, but you are free to walk with them outside of those premises or sit at the picnic tables with them\, on-leash.  We look forward to seeing you there! \nPlease note the following for wine tasting at Nassau Valley. Delaware law now requires that tasting service must be done fifteen minutes before closing time. DESCRIPTION:Family Friendly Event–Run Saniyah Run’s first remembrance celebration of Saniyah who passed away on July 31\, 2020. \n\nCarnival games\, prizes\, music and FUN FOR ALL! Also fundraising to help parents of special needs children with this year’s upcoming school supplies\, clothes\, and other expenses they may encounter.\n\nCHECK OUT THE PRESS RELEASE:\n\n\nThe first annual memorial fundraiser for the organization\, “Run\, Saniyah\, Run” will take place on Sunday\, July 31\, 3pm until 5pm at Milton’s Memorial Park.\n\nA new organization\, aptly named “Run\, Saniyah\, Run” is a memorial tribute to a severely disabled young girl\, Saniyah. As reported in an April issue of the Cape Gazette\, Saniyah had a brief but meaningful life\, passing away at the tender age of 11. \n\nSaniyah had several disabilities that most parents thankfully will never bear. \n\nHer mother\, Gia Ruffin began a mission after Saniyah’s passing\, aptly named “Run\, Saniyah Run\,” a nod to how\, despite her severe situation\, Saniyah was quite literally on the move\, no matter her obstacles. She was encouraged by her siblings to run\, because despite her disabilities\, it’s what she strived to do. That’s how much her energy had an effect on others.\n\nRuffin believes that – and has put into action – parents of disabled children have special needs themselves. Carpools\, doctors’ appointments\, educational concerns and more\, there are parents dealing with the stress of not only their own lives and perhaps that of their other children. \n\nRun Saniyah Run is now a 501 c 3 organization\, meaning it is a nonprofit organization with a meaningful mission. It is her mother’s intent to help other parents cope with the stress of raising a child under unusual and taxing circumstances. Often\, parents are on their own to figure out logistics\, often relying on family\, friends and neighbors to adequately tend to the child’s needs.\n\nGia Ruffin\, mother to Saniyah relied on several people\, including her own other children to juggle those stresses. She now wants to grow an organization that addresses the parents’ need – not just those of the child.\n\nOn Sunday\, July 31\, from 3-5 pm\, there will be a fundraising and awareness event that will kick off these efforts in Saniyah’s name.
