SUMMARY:Clear Space Theatre presents Hairspray
DESCRIPTION:Wednesday and Thursday\, 7:30pm\n\n\n\nHairspray : Music by Marc Shaiman\, Lyrics by Marc Shaiman & Scott Wittman\, Book by Mark O’Donnell & Thomas Meehan\, Based on the John Waters film \nYou can’t stop this beat! There’s a reason Hairspray remains one of the most popular musicals of the last two decades – winning the Tony Award for Best Musical\, Best Score\, and Best Book during its original Broadway run. Tracy Turnblad may be a bigger girl than the usual teen heartthrobs who dance on the Corny Collins Show\, but when she gets her chance to shine\, she does more than light up the stage – she changes lives… her mother’s\, her community’s\, and even her own. Clear Space is thrilled to welcome Delaware’s legendary Diva\, Rehoboth’s own Mona Lotts (television appearances on The Real Housewives of Potomac and What Not To Wear) to the stage as Tracy’s mother Edna Turnblad. \nPresenting Sponsors: Rick Tedrick & Shawn Wright\nSupporting Sponsor: Cape Gazette \nAll pics & info from the website: Hairspray – Clear Space Theatre

SUMMARY:Looking for a chance to make a difference? Volunteer with DBCC
DESCRIPTION:Help Us Today \n\n\n\nThe Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition has a variety of ways to engage volunteers.  How you volunteer with DBCC may depend on the amount of time you have available\, your availability in the daytime or evenings\, and the special skills and talents you may have to lend to DBCC. We will try to match your interests with our volunteer needs\, which vary throughout the year. \nSeptember\, and specifically October\, tend to be busy times when we have more volunteer opportunities. The rest of the year is filled with various outreach opportunities\, special events\, educational needs\, and more.  We value our volunteers and want to make sure each and every opportunity is worth their time and dedication.  Our volunteers help us to extend the “reach” of DBCC. We couldn’t do it without them! \nSome of the specific opportunities that we have include: \nOffice / Mailings\n\n  \n\nHelp assemble mailings.\nPut together agency informational folders for doctors/hospitals.\nHelp sort inventory\, specifically the Go Pink! shirt partnership.\nAssemble goodie bags for events/partnerships.\n\nOutreach / Health Fairs\n\n\nAttend Health Fairs/Community Events with staff member(s) to man the DBCC table.\n\nPass out information.\nTalk to attendees about breast health\, early detection\, DBCC programs and services.\n\n\nTalk to women in your community\, at church\, in the workplace.\nHelp cultivate new opportunities’ to showcase DBCC programs.\n\nBreast Health Presentation (BHP) / Survivor Story\n\nAttend a BHP with staff member(s) to be the survivor connection at the end.  Survivors share a brief synopsis of their story and answer questions about their breast cancer journey.\nGive a BHP presentation.\n\nMore details online: https://debreastcancer.org/about/volunteer/

SUMMARY:Clear Space Theatre presents Hairspray
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, 2pm\n\n\n\nHairspray : Music by Marc Shaiman\, Lyrics by Marc Shaiman & Scott Wittman\, Book by Mark O’Donnell & Thomas Meehan\, Based on the John Waters film \nYou can’t stop this beat!
