With great attention to detail\, The Ultimate Doors provide their audiences with an authentic looking and sounding tribute to Jim Morrison & The Doors. From Jim Morrison’s leather outfits all the way down to the color of the microphone cable\, The Ultimate Doors leaves no stone unturned in bringing an authentic Doors tribute show to the stage. Front and center\, taking on the role of Jim Morrison is Nash Stover. Nash doesn’t take his job of being Jim lightly. He studies Jim daily. From Jim’s vocals and stage persona\, to every detail of Jim’s ever-changing fashion sense. Jim Morrison was a complex man and Nash deeply respects every part of Jim’s legacy which shows true night after night on stage. On the Gibson SG and playing the role of Robby Krieger is Todd Huffman. Todd has been a Doors fan his entire life and has always considered Robby Krieger to be the most underrated guitar player of all time. Todd puts in countless hours not only practicing Robby’s guitar licks\, but also keeping every detail of Robby’s rig fine tuned. Robby Krieger is a hard role to play\, but Todd nails it. It takes a man with two brains to pull off playing the part of Ray Manzarek. Manning the Gibson G-101 organ while keeping the low end going on the Fender Rhodes piano bass is Nate Shaw. Maintaining the thumping bass with his left hand and the snarling organ with his right\, Nate really appreciates every ounce of talent that Ray Manzarek had. On the Mod Orange Ludwig Downbeat kit\, taking on the role of John Densmore is Jordyn Huffman. Jordyn learned to play drums to Doors albums when he was a teenager and has considered John Densmore to be the best drummer of all time ever since. DESCRIPTION:Through an agreement between South Coastal Library and the Rehoboth Beach Writers Guild (RBWG)\, the RBWG will host a weekly FreeWrites on Thursdays at South Coastal Library. \nA FreeWrite is an informal gathering of writers of ALL skill levels who practice creative writing in a friendly and nurturing atmosphere. It’s an opportunity to have fun with writing and explore different genres with other writing enthusiasts. Each FreeWrite is facilitated by a RBWG member with experience in teaching\, writing and/or leading such groups. Participants write brief prose\, songs\, poetry\, and fiction. Some participants use the time to brainstorm ideas for their own novel or to begin or continue short story writing. Writing prompts are designed to focus on particular writing aspect e.g.\, the use of sensory details\, using strong verbs\, writing dialogue\, etc. FreeWrites are open to anyone in the local community (age 18+). While these are sponsored by the RBWG\, attendees do not have to be members to participate. \nThis program is designed to promote writing and literacy in a supportive and welcoming environment. \nThe FreeWrite facilitator is Paul McFarlane. In 1949\, Howard Schroeder started the Open Studio Sketch Group to give artists an opportunity to gather once a week to sketch or paint live models\, an idea inspired by a group he had belonged to as an artist in New York City\, his birthplace. Adjust your images on your home computer\, or have a studio monitor assist you in the lab prior to printing here. Members’ accessing the Print Studio are responsible for a nominal studio fee ($2 per hour) as well as the cost of any paper and materials purchased. DESCRIPTION:The Archaeological Society of Delaware invites everyone to join us and hear about recent studies in Sussex County history and prehistory. This month archaeologist Dr. Edward Otter will discuss what life was like for the people living in the Lewes area before the coming of Europeans. Interpretations are based on historic documents and archaeological research in the region. \nDr. Otter received his PhD from Catholic University in Washington\, DC. He is the owner and principal of Edward Otter\, Inc\, an archaeological consulting firm. Dr. Otter’s research interests include coastal adaptations and the analysis of past foodways. \nArchaeology is a scientific discipline that seeks to understand how people lived in the past. It is the only means of learning new information about those who left no written records and provides another avenue of study for those who did leave records. Delaware prehistory dates back of 12\,000 years and there is a rich colonial history: all of which can be studied through archaeology. \nThe Archaeological Society of Delaware is a non-profit organization established to promote the preservation and study of archaeological sites in Delaware. Advocacy is an important aspect of the society as sites succumb to development\, coastal erosion\, and infrastructure projects. DESCRIPTION:Through an agreement between South Coastal Library and the Rehoboth Beach Writers Guild (RBWG)\, the RBWG will host a weekly FreeWrites on Thursdays at South Coastal Library. \nA FreeWrite is an informal gathering of writers of ALL skill levels who practice creative writing in a friendly and nurturing atmosphere. It’s an opportunity to have fun with writing and explore different genres with other writing enthusiasts. Each FreeWrite is facilitated by a RBWG member with experience in teaching\, writing and/or leading such groups. Participants write brief prose\, songs\, poetry\, and fiction. Some participants use the time to brainstorm ideas for their own novel or to begin or continue short story writing.
