SUMMARY:The Dave Matthews Tribute Band @ Milton
DESCRIPTION:The only nationally touring tribute to the Dave Matthews Band. \nTheir name says it all: The Dave Matthews Tribute Band. For nearly 20 years\, the band has been performing sold out shows around the world; playing over 1\,500 dates in 46 states and 8 countries. Many go to their live shows with reservations\, high expectations\, and the burning question\, “Do these guys sound like the real Dave Matthews Band?” Almost always the answer is\, “Yes!”\nSince 2004\, The DMTB is the only nationally touring tribute to the Dave Matthews Band. This 5-piece ensemble strives to pay homage to their famous counterparts by matching the excitement\, energy\, intensity and intimacy of a DMB live show.\nWhile most fans never witnessed the real band before they became the platinum-selling artists they are today\, The Dave Matthews Tribute Band prides itself on giving audiences this opportunity at intimate venues around the world.\nAs Rick Grant of Entertaining U in Jacksonville\, FL wrote\, “The Dave Matthews Tribute Band turned out to exceed its billing as a quality improvisational band that uses Dave Matthews material as themes to improvise. Clearly\, this distinguishes them from the other so-called tribute bands. The band is exceptionally tight and produces a solid groove over which the players improvise with hot chops.”\nBeyond mastering the DMB sound and the relentless touring\, what separates The Dave Matthews Tribute Band from other cover bands is their passion\, love\, and respect for DMB and their music. That is what makes you come out of one of their shows saying\, “Yeah\, they really do sound like the real Dave Matthews Band.”\n  \nCopy and pic from the website

SUMMARY:Black Opry
DESCRIPTION:We invite you to discover\, support and enjoy the Black artists that make magic in this space. One of the most valuable aspects of country music is its versatility and diversity in sound. Country\, blues\, folk\, and Americana music often overlap or weave together- these artists explore all of those sounds and intersections. Offered in two formats\, writers rounds and festival sets\, the Black Opry Revue showcases the diversity in sound and stories that Black artists offer to these genres. \nAbout Black Opry\n \nWebsite | Twitter | YouTube | Instagram\n\nBlack Opry is home for Black artists\, fans and industry professionals working in country\, Americana\, blues\, and folk music. Country and roots music have been made and loved by Black people since their conception. For just as long\, we have been overlooked and disregarded in the genre. Black Opry is changing that.\n \n\n“Black Opry is so powerful because it reflects not only this generation of artists\, musicians\, and songwriters\, but also writers\, critics\, journalists\, and fans who are interested in not just amplifying the work of Black country artists and other marginalized communities\,” says Dr. Charles L. Hughes\, historian and author of Country Soul\, “but also in creating networks and building a sense of community to avoid dealing with racist institutions.” Excerpt from rolling stone \n\n All copy and pics from the website: https://www.etix.com/ticket/p/5969198/black-opry-milton-milton-theatre

SUMMARY:The Ultimate Doors a tribute to Jim Morrison & the Doors @ Milton Theatre
DESCRIPTION:The Ultimate Doors was formed with the intention of preserving The Doors’ music and performances as well as bringing an authentic experience to the old and the new generations of Doors fans. With great attention to detail\, The Ultimate Doors provide their audiences with an authentic looking and sounding tribute to Jim Morrison & The Doors. From Jim Morrison’s leather outfits all the way down to the color of the microphone cable\, The Ultimate Doors leaves no stone unturned in bringing an authentic Doors tribute show to the stage. Front and center\, taking on the role of Jim Morrison is Nash Stover. Nash doesn’t take his job of being Jim lightly. He studies Jim daily. From Jim’s vocals and stage persona\, to every detail of Jim’s ever-changing fashion sense. Jim Morrison was a complex man and Nash deeply respects every part of Jim’s legacy which shows true night after night on stage. On the Gibson SG and playing the role of Robby Krieger is Todd Huffman. Todd has been a Doors fan his entire life and has always considered Robby Krieger to be the most underrated guitar player of all time. Todd puts in countless hours not only practicing Robby’s guitar licks\, but also keeping every detail of Robby’s rig fine tuned. Robby Krieger is a hard role to play\, but Todd nails it. It takes a man with two brains to pull off playing the part of Ray Manzarek. Manning the Gibson G-101 organ while keeping the low end going on the Fender Rhodes piano bass is Nate Shaw. Maintaining the thumping bass with his left hand and the snarling organ with his right\, Nate really appreciates every ounce of talent that Ray Manzarek had. On the Mod Orange Ludwig Downbeat kit\, taking on the role of John Densmore is Jordyn Huffman. Jordyn learned to play drums to Doors albums when he was a teenager and has considered John Densmore to be the best drummer of all time ever since. John’s style on and off the drums was unlike that of any other and Jordyn loves that challenge. \nAll copy and pics from the website.

SUMMARY:A Carol King Christmas with Michelle Foster
DESCRIPTION:A Carole King Christmas is exactly that: a first act of Carole King’s hits\, and a female-centric second act of Christmas songs. From All I Want For Christmas Is You\, to Merry Christmas Darling\, there are songs for every audience member to connect with and sing along to. There is no better place to enjoy the holiday nostalgia than at A Carole King Christmas! \nNew York-based singer\, pianist\, actress\, and dancer\, Michelle Foster has redefined the quadruple threat. \nFoster has been touring and performing professionally since the age of 14\, when she was chosen to perform as a soloist at Disney’s Hollywood Studios for an audience of thousands. Foster is now a regular keyboardist with Gloria Gaynor’s musical director\, Mark Baron\, and a keyboardist/vocal soloist with legendary doo-wop group\, The Duprees. In the summer of 2019\, Foster was cast in her first professional musical at Axelrod Performing Arts Center. \nMonths later\, however\, Foster was selected to perform as vocalist/keyboardist with the Mercury World Tour\, produced by Terry Barber\, at The Gallo Center for the Arts in Modesto\, California. Michelle now tours internationally with Barber as a collaborative pianist and vocal soloist. While performing The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber in Canada\, Michelle “stuck out as a clear talent” (The Palace Theatre). Though Michelle’s first love was always musical theater\, her experience performing in Barber’s various tour programs opened her up to a world where her diverse talents could merge. \nAt 23 years old\, Michelle self-produced\, created and starred in Broadway 2020\, an original musical review that showcases her mastery of voice\, piano\, drama and dance as she takes audiences on a journey through Broadway hits old and new. The show premiered at The Ritz Theatre in 2019 and is currently being booked for the 2021-2022 seasons. The Broadway 2020 album is set to release in the summer of 2020. Michelle is currently launching Sweet Seasons: The Music of Carole King\, a second tour program that brings audiences on a look back at the music that shaped a generation. In addition to touring\, Michelle works as a recording artist on Fiverr and is part-owner of the private music production company\, Tunedly. \nMichelle holds a Bachelor of Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University\, with minors in chemistry and dance. She has continued her studies at The Juilliard School\, Liz Caplan Vocal Studio\, and one-on-one with the most prominent casting and creative directors in New York. \n“Michelle was amazing and it is clear she is going to have a long career ahead of her.” \n– Janet Perkins \nCopy and pics from the website
