I’m Your Man is a playful romantic comedy with a sci-fi twist about a woman unwillingly involved in an unusual experiment.

Alma (Marian Eggert) is a scientist at the Pergamon Museum in Berlin who is coerced into participating in an extraordinary study in order to obtain research funds for her work. For three weeks, she has to live with a humanoid robot tailored to her character and needs, whose artificial intelligence is designed to be the perfect life partner for her. Enter Tom (Downton Abbey’s Dan Stevens), a machine in human form in a class of its own, created solely to make her happy. The film is a humorous tale about the questions of love, longing, and what makes a human being human. Directed by Emmy-award-winning director Maria Schrader (Netflix’s Unorthodox), I’m Your Man has been selected as Germany’s entry into the 2022 International Feature Oscar race. [2021, Germany, 105 min, Rated: R, in German with English subtitles]
