National Theatre Live’s production of Jack Absolute Flies Again
A rollicking historical comedy by Richard Bean (One Man, Two Guvnors) and Oliver Chris (Twelfth Night). Bean and Chris’ vigorous rewrite of Jack Absolute Flies Again originally slated for a 2020 release, is now finally cleared for take-off.
In July 1940 during WWII era riding high after an aerial dogfight, Pilot Officer Jack Absolute flies home to win the heart of his old flame, the fashionable Lady Lydia Languish. Back on British soil, Jack’s advances soon turn to anarchy when the young heiress demands to be loved on her own, very particular, terms.
Emily Burns directs this spectacularly entertaining new version of Sheridan’s The Rivals. Featuring a cast including Caroline Quentin, Laurie Davidson, Natalie Simpson and Kelvin Fletcher.

Screening times are 1 pm on Mon (Oct 17) and 5:30 pm on Tue (Oct 18). Admission is $18 for members, $20 for general audiences and $15 for Sudents with ID and Youth (15 and under).
