In the continuing tale of the Sackler family’s wealth and philanthropic contributions to such high society art establishments such as The Met, victims and their surviving relatives have taken the family to task for its overtly targeted marketing of oxycontin. Based on the book, Empire of Pain and the 2021 series, Dopesick, All the Beauty and the Bloodshed is one woman’s story of pain and loss from the opioid epidemic.
