Calling all foodies!

If you are looking for a unique and engaging way to enjoy the “culinary coast’s” extraordinary cuisine, then EatingRehoboth is definitely worth a try.

The brainchild of three creative individuals who absolutely love their local restaurants and the community of Rehoboth Beach, the EatingRehoboth concept is this. You stroll at a leisurely pace through Rehoboth’s quaint streets with a guide who shares fun facts and some history of Rehoboth and its stellar restaurants.

Meanwhile, the group stops at five participating, upscale restaurants to sample small plates and sips of craft beverages as paired by the chef. Several beers that are offered are local, and the wines are chosen by the restaurant to complement its cuisine. The menu at each restaurant offers the chef’s unique creation, often using locally sourced and seasonal ingredients.

Guests get the chance to go behind the scenes to see restaurant operations and talk with managers and the chefs. It’s a highly personalized experience, according to testimonials on sites such as Trip Advisor, Open Table and Yelp. “A terrific afternoon adventure behind the scenes of Rehoboth’s superb array of restaurants,” writes a contributor on Trip Advisor.

Spoiler alert: RehobothFoodie does not reveal which restaurants are featured. The intent is to introduce guests to new experiences.

EatingRehoboth’s creators include Deb Griffin, a local real estate agent and blogger, Paul Cullen, a fine chef, and “Rehoboth Foodie” creator, Bob Yesbek, a successful web blogger and radio personality. Yesbek admits to being an obsessed connoisseur of the local restaurant scene.

The three of them took the concept to reality, and EatingRehoboth was instantly successful. Other “foodie” cities, such as Asheville, North Carolina have similar experiential culinary tours, but Rehoboth Foodie, the stalwart cheerleader of Eating Rehoboth has helped put EatingRehoboth on the map.

The tours sell out very quickly, particularly in the height of the summer season. The fee per person is $59, which includes all food and drink tastings and gratuity. It is highly recommended to make reservations early in the season – or even months in advance, especially if you are planning to attend with a group of your friends and neighbors. Reservations and pre-payment are required since there is limited seating availability.

All EatingRehoboth tours take place on Sunday afternoons, beginning at 1:30, and lasting approximately 2.5 to 3 hours. So bring your appetite and taste buds!

Private tours for up to 15 or 16 people are available on request – perfect for entertaining visitors or celebrating a special milestone or occasion. Gift certificates are also available for your other favorite foodies.

Experience the specialties of our local chefs, enjoy camaraderie with friends or new acquaintances, and learn more about this treasured culinary tour. EatingRehoboth is not just for visitors. There’s plenty to enjoy. Bon Appetit!
