One Cruise In has already passed, but there’s still time to enjoy CHEER’s final June Cruise In event featuring classic vehicles, a model car show, $5 dinners, and live music.
GEORGETOWN, DE (June 15, 2026) – If you missed CHEER’s June 10 Cruise In in Milton, there’s still one more opportunity to join the fun this month.
CHEER invites the community to attend its Greenwood Cruise In on Thursday, June 25, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The free event will be held at the CHEER Center in Greenwood, located on US 13 northbound. Attendees can access the site by turning at the Dollar General or using the access road behind Royal Farms.
The Cruise In offers a relaxed, family-friendly evening of classic cars, trucks, motorcycles, good food, and music.
A Relaxed Alternative to a Traditional Car Show
CHEER’s annual Wheels for Meals car show is taking a temporary pause this year due to construction of the Gateway East senior apartments and administrative buildings in Georgetown. In its place, CHEER created the informal Cruise In format.
Unlike traditional car shows, there are no registration fees, judging, trophies, or schedules. Vehicle owners are welcome to bring their favorite rides, park, and enjoy the evening.
“This is more for the community to come out on a summer evening, grab a bite to eat, and enjoy the rides,” said Beckett Wheatley, CEO of CHEER. “It’s nice to meet new people and see old friends. That’s what we do at CHEER.”
Fun for All Ages
The event is open to everyone, whether they are automotive enthusiasts or simply looking for a fun evening out with family and friends.
A special feature of the evening will be the Model Car Show, showcasing miniature replicas of classic and custom vehicles. The display is expected to be a hit with collectors, hobbyists, and young attendees alike.
Guests can also enjoy an affordable dinner for just $5, which includes a jumbo hot dog, baked beans, chips, and a drink.
Live Music and Radio Broadcast
Thanks to event sponsor Compass HVAC, attendees will enjoy a live remote radio broadcast from Rooster of 101.3 Chicken Country, who will be playing popular country favorites throughout the evening.
