Anime Matinee: SPIRITED AWAY

Welcome to the Society’s first foray into the world of Anime films introducing acclaimed animated features from Studio Ghibli. The Society has chosen epic film masterpieces that will be screened with English subtitles and include Academy Award-winner Hayao Miyazaki’s films.
All are welcome to join us at the Cinema Art Theater in Lewes each Sunday for the 2 pm Anime Matinee during the winter season. The Society welcomes Cosplay participants.
Special student rate is $5 along with our member and general admission pricing
SPIRITED AWAY
From the legendary Studio Ghibli, Spirited Away, tells the tale of Chihiro’s family which is moving to a new house, but when they stop on the way to explore an abandoned village, her parents undergo a mysterious transformation and Chichiro is whisked into a world of fantastic spirites ruled over by the sorceress Yubaba. Put to work in a magical bathhouse of spirits and demons, Chihiro must use all her wits to survive in the strange new place, find a way to free her parents and return to the normal world.
