April 4

From registering online for programs to figuring out our own PC, our local libraries can help with SO many of the problems we face.
  • Georgetown Public Library: Thursdays, 10:30am – 11:30am, and 5pm-6pm, COMPUTER BASICS: Come learn the basics of how to use a computer, or come prepared with advance questions of your own. This will be a mixture of prepared training as well as a chance to ask questions and get drop in computer help from a certified Computer Instructor. This project was funded by a grant from AARP. Registration is required. Register by calling 302-856-7958 OR register online (click this link to go to the library calendar, click on the class on Thursdays, 5pm to see the page where you register)
  • Laurel Public Library, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5-7pm, Jack’s Tech Talk: Technology assistance for patrons. Appointments are required.  Call 302-875-3184 or stop by the library to sign up.
  • Lewes Public Library, free technology assistance the first and third Friday of each month from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on a drop-in basis. A staff member is available to assist with a variety of common technology questions. Topics include (but are not limited to): digital books, email, internet, Microsoft Word and Excel, texting, and digital photos. Guests may bring their own devices such as e-readers, tablets, phones and computers—or utilize the library’s PC computers. No appointment is necessary, and assistance is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants are encouraged to bring relevant usernames, passwords, and login information. All ages are welcome.
