About Exhibition Opening: The Wireless
In 1906 the U.S Navy completed the installation of a Wireless Station on Cape Henlopen. Located near the Cape Henlopen Lighthouse, the station occupied an abandoned fog signal station. The wireless station was equipped with a wireless system from the Massie Wireless Telegraph Company. this exhibit looks back at Lewes in 1906 and showcases a replica of the Massie Wireless Telegraph system.
