Starts Friday, October 22

Lamb is a supernatural chiller about a couple who discover a strange and unnatural newborn in their sheep barn.

Just in time to bring some Halloween frights to art-film aficionados, Lamb delivers a wild premise of a married, childless couple in rural Iceland who become surrogate parents to a mysterious creature born on their farm. While this addition to their family brings them initial happiness, they soon face the consequences of defying the will of nature in this dark and mysterious folktale. Atmospheric and haunting, Lamb is the striking debut feature of Valdimar Jóhannsson who received the Un Certain Regard – Prize of Originality at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival. From award-winning independent film studio and distributor A24 (The Green Knight), the film stars Noomi Rapace (the original Girl with the Dragon Tattoo). [2021, Iceland/Sweden/Poland, 106 min, Rated: R, in Icelandic with English subtitles]

Kaitlyn Booth of Bleeding Cool writes, “Lamb is unexpected in the best possible way. Beautifully shot, wonderfully acted, uncomfortable but not in a queasy way while also being weirdly sweet.” David Fear of Rolling Stone writes, “It’s the sweetest, most touching waking nightmare you’ve ever experienced.”
