Friends of the Milton Public Library are planning a social event to recognize the contributions of its members and invite new members to attend as we observe National Friends of the Library Week. We will offer light refreshments, information about the group, and a chance to meet the friendly Friends of the Milton Public Library.

on puIt takes a library to build a community, and it takes friends to lend a helping hand. Milton Public Library is at the heart of downtown Milton and offers interesting materials to read, listen to or view, and offers engaging educational and cultural programs to take part in with fellow members of the public.

The Friends of the Milton Public Library raises funds to help support the programs the talented library staff offers to children, teens and adults, including yoga, magicians, speakers, craft-making, prizes for the summer reading program and much more. We do this by selling donated audiobooks, paperbacks, hardcovers, videos and new merchandise that celebrates our small town’s charm. We welcome new members to lend their time and talents, share new ideas of how best to increase our revenue, help us expand the operating hours of the gifts shop, and contribute to planning the 150th anniversary celebration of our cherished library.
