Come out and “Stand Up” for the Inland Bays! On June 3, the Center and CheSUPeake are teaming up to offer an adventure-filled day of paddle fun. Various paddle-race distances and a ‘recreational paddle’ option are available, so there’s something for everyone. From land, there will be live music from Homestead Bluegrass Band, tasty food from Taco Reho and Bountiful Bowls, cold beverages from Dewey Beer Co., environmental education, raffles and more. Come out and help raise funds to restore, protect, and preserve the Inland Bays!

Stand Up for the Bays features 4 different courses in the Indian River Bay—starting and finishing at Holts Landing State Park. There are opportunities for racers of all ages; and categories for stand-up paddleboards (SUP), Surfski, Sea Kayaks (14′ and up only), OC1, and OC2. Registered racers/paddlers will receive an event t-shirt, one post-paddle beverage, and some tasty post-paddle grub.
