Tavern Talks: 17702 Lewistown and the American Revolution
August 6, 2022
To Defend our Little Place: 1770s Lewistown and the American Revolution
“Join the Lewes Historical Society for the immersive and entertaining program, Tavern Talks…
Each event offers participants the opportunity to partake in historical conversations, based on a given time in Delaware’s First Town history. This popular show is sponsored by the Lewes Historical Society and takes place in one of their atmospheric, historic buildings, often by candlelight. This interactive interpretation will not disappoint! Reservations are required, space is limited, and you must be 21 years of age to attend.
Journey back to historic Lewistown and raise a pint in Sussex Tavern at the Rabbits Ferry House on the Historical Society’s main campus. Through these immersive programs, guests will join historic interpreters during specific eras in Lewes’ past and lend their voices to the unfolding events.
The well-being of our valued visitors and staff remains our highest priority. This event is not conducive to maintaining proper social distance. LHS strives to comply with the most recent state regulations and therefore our various programs and events are subject to change and cancellation.
This program will take place in the newly re-imagined Rabbits Ferry House, located at 110 Shipcarpenter Street, Lewes, DE.” – info and pictures from Lewes Historical Society website
