Have you heard of Prehabilitation? Our friends at Growing Bolder say it is aging’s ultimate no brainer, because it’s a 100% certainty that we’ll all experience a series of physical setbacks as we age. It’s part of the human condition. And to a large degree, the types of interventions available to us when we suffer those setbacks and the extent of our recovery afterwards are determined by our overall condition at the time, not by our age.
Prehabilitation for our health can be exercise, simple daily movement, and positive lifestyle modification. It’s the key to reducing future healthcare costs and the impact of future health setbacks.
But we should all be prehabilitating in all areas of our life, not only to prepare for life’s inevitable setbacks, but also to take advantage of life’s never-ending opportunities.

It’s a shortcut to success because the brain is incapable of telling the difference between real success and vividly imagined success. It’s a technique that’s now employed by nearly every world-class athlete.
One area in which visualization is rarely applied is positive aging, and that’s a shame because it’s one of the most powerful and important tools for reprogramming your belief system. Visualize yourself growing stronger, not weaker, as you age. Visualize yourself becoming more active, more social, more flexible, more resilient. If your mind believes it, so will your body.
Visualize yourself saying yes to opportunities, making new friends, and living in a home or community you love. And visualize the move there being stress-free!
