The Point, in Rehoboth offers certified organic and fair trade beans and plenty of varieties of brew, including espressos, lattes, cappuccino and iced specialties. It’s a favorite mellow atmosphere for beachy visitors and locals. The Point is also a go-to for pastry treats, du jour specials and lunch items – mostly sourced from local farms and businesses. Rise Up Coffee Roasters, a Delmarva-based chain is a laid-back purveyor of fair trade, locally roasted coffee, a local treasure. If you don’t have the time wait in their sometimes long lines, consider purchasing their packaged roasts. Soon the citrus smell of their Organic Breakfast roast or the sweet and strong scents of Honey Arabica will fill your home with their enticing aromas!
Finally, for the consummate connoisseur, there’s Gaia Coffee Co., (named in honor of the Greek god known as “mother earth,”) is available at Old World Breads, local farmers markets and online exclusively to Lewes and Rehoboth zip code residents. Strictly sourced from Costa Rican beans, their “small batch” roasts start from their mission attached to each precious cup. The owners purchase directly from farmers to ensure sustainable and fair wage practices.
