Whether you’re in the mood for an exquisite dinner or a great show, you can do either (or both) at The Pines in the heart of Rehoboth Beach on Baltimore Avenue.
Owners, Tyler Townsend and Bob Suppies, agree on the most fundamental mission: making your experience at The Pines exceptional and entertaining. Both come from years of experience within hospitality. And to provide it in Rehoboth has meaning.
Townsend is a Rehoboth Beach native whose family has lived around the hospitality business for years. Suppies is not so much, although he’s been in Rehoboth since 1997, long enough for them to live out their dream restaurant and separate entertainment venue, Top of the Pines. Their schedule is packed with everything from Cabaret starlets to “Dueling Pianos” every Monday night, to a weekly, popular Drag brunch!
(FYI: Top of the Pines also provides catered and private and corporate events. Offsite catering is also available!)
The exquisitely designed interior, in the words of the owners, “is a nod to Old Rehoboth combined with the new and modern style.” Only two blocks to the beach and boardwalk, it offers two levels of dining plus outdoor seating.
Best yet, they take reservations, even in peak season! (As we have all experienced, not many southern Delaware establishments do.)
Daily specials are in full swing during the summer, but from October through the spring, there are featured cocktail specials, Burger nights, pot pie nights and the popular Comfort Night. The dinner menu features upscale American fare, including Ahi tuna, braised ribs, coffee-rubbed flank steak and shrimp and grits, among other delights. Sunday brunch’s menu varies often.
There is a variety of small plates as well, including some vegan/vegetarian choices. All of their menu items are sourced locally, and Take-Out and curbside pickup are offered.
So why not make an entire evening of dinner and a show. There’s comedy, jazz, singer songwriters, and even the upcoming Wizard of Oz! A list of current shows can be found at https://www.thepinesrb.com/shows/entertainment.html?layout=timeline.
Let the good times begin!
